The Opentrons Pipetting robot is an integral piece of our labs workflow. Every project in our lab requiring the fabrication of composite materials utilizes this liquid-handling robot to synthesize batches of samples. We utilize Opentrons' open-sourced API to generate custom protocols from prebuilt modules and settings. Additionally this enables us to build an ecosystem of tools for recipe generation via distance-based sampling, and to incorporate models for tasks such as uncertainty-based sampling. Additionally visualization tools can efficiently be integrated for analysis of batch compositions, and design space coverage.
